The Internet is out at the house again.
I am not impressed, and neither is Mr. Frog.
Better luck tomorrow.

Prompt – Who was the first person you met over the Internet?
——
I had to respond to this prompt. It made me giggle.
No doubt I did meet other people via e-mail when e-mail was brand new (Yes, I’m that old. I remember life before e-mail, Facebook, and blogs.)
But the first person I ever really met online is the man I’m now married to.
Yup, back when online dating services were experimental (and free) I posted a personal ad. I married my first responder (although he was my second date from the experience).

Me: “What did you say?”
Him: “You’re sexy, Mom.”Continue reading “Sexy and I Know It”
Hello followers,
Betcher wondering why nothing has been posted here in the last week.
Alas, I’ve been sick. Really sick. Presumably just a virus, but a tough one. Maybe the flu (my favorite summer affliction). We’ll see.
I’m operating at about 80% right now, trying to direct my limited resources at the things that are most demanding: family and work. The blog, and writing in general, has taken a massive hit. I haven’t exercised in more than a week. I did, finally, yesterday, do a little sewing. After a three-hour mid-day power nap.
Hopefully the coming week will see me back to my old self.
Here’s where I wax philosophical. Forgive me if I offend. I had this revelation today, after waiting for my very late cable guy. I wanted to share my thoughts, and see if you agree (or disagree).
A lot of people are posting these days about this prevalent sense of entitlement in our culture. By this, I’m referring to the culture in the United States. I don’t imply that this is a global phenomenon.Continue reading “Interaction and Entitlement”
