Must Be Monday

This week is the first full week of classes since the semester began. I knew it was going to be a rough day because I was sick-ish all weekend, and was still feeling less-than-fabulous this morning when I woke up.

I managed to get up and get the boy off to school, as usual. The commute was harmless and I even found a pretty decent parking space. The mass spectrometer was cooperative and I got it tuned to linear really quickly. (I’ll have to explain what that means in a later post.)

So pleased, I took a selfie!

Then I remembered that I had to plan my lecture for today. I checked my lecture notes.

Notes for a 50-minute lecture. Only four words. Not terribly helpful.

I needed to do a little planning, it seemed. Somehow or other, I got it all together, and with about an hour’s preparation, was able to deliver a pretty decent lecture.

Then it was time to go home, and things began to go downhill.

Not for life in general, just my health. By the time 7:00 rolled around, I had a massive sinus headache and a migraine. My day was done.

…But not before I wrote a brief blog post about my day’s successes.
