National Blog Posting Month – January 2014 – Pressure
Prompt – Who puts the most pressure on you — yourself or others?
——
Me.
No one puts as much pressure on me than me.
And if someone tries to put pressure on me, it makes me mad, because I have enough self-induced pressure. Don’t you dare think that your crisis overrides my own stresses.
You got nothing on it.
It could be the anxiety talking. Definitely worry a lot about not living up to expectations. Worry about doing something wrong. Or late. Or incomplete.
I get stressed out when a blog post like this one isn’t scheduled to be published a day in advance, because if it isn’t then I think I’m behind. (Which is, incidentally, why I writing this right now.)
I’ve always been this way.
It’s improved quite a bit, since I started managing my anxiety with therapy and medications, but it’s still there.
It’s gotta be done. And done right. And on time.
No one puts more pressure on me than me.
I also pressure myself more than anyone else does, and in the past it caused me to be very anxious. Now not as much.
