Time Capsule – Old Skool

For my next installment in the Kickin’ it Old Skool Blog-a-thon, we are asked to prepare a time capsule, which I will do below.

I’m also participating in the National Blog Posting Month with BlogHer. The prompt for today is “Do you think you’re more or less likely to complete December’s NaBloPoMo?  Why?”Continue reading “Time Capsule – Old Skool”

If I had a million dollars…

I’ve been participating in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) for over a year now. The end result is that I’ve written approximately one blog post per day for the entire last year. That’s a lot of blog posts!

For November, NaBloPoMo is sending out a bunch of daily prompts. Actually, they always do this, but not usually by e-mail. The prompt for last Friday was this:

On-line Meetings

National Blog Posting Month – July 2013 – Connect

Prompt – Who was the first person you met over the Internet?

——

I had to respond to this prompt. It made me giggle.

No doubt I did meet other people via e-mail when e-mail was brand new (Yes, I’m that old. I remember life before e-mail, Facebook, and blogs.)

But the first person I ever really met online is the man I’m now married to.

Yup, back when online dating services were experimental (and free) I posted a personal ad. I married my first responder (although he was my second date from the experience).

It worked out for me.

How about you?
