What’s it about?
With the instrumentation on the Juno spacecraft, scientists can now measure the strength and shape of the magnetic field around Jupiter and explore the planet’s aurorae (like our Aurora Borealis).
Why does it matter?
Understanding the magnetic field of a planet tells us a great deal about what is going in deep in its core.
Why did I read this?
I read this because it’s about Jupiter and it’s exciting that we’re able to learn so much about something so far away.
