I’ve been trying to do art in some form or fashion every day through November, as part of the Art Every Day Month challenge. Because I’m also doing NaNoWriMo, and attempting to write a 50000 word novel this month, I suppose that I’m accomplishing art every day so long as I’m writing every day.
I’m not quite satisfied with that.
I’m still trying to produce some visual art every day, too. I’ve been failing at it for the last few days. But today I actually did produce some art. It’s technical-ish art, but art nevertheless.
This is a figure I’ve put together for some talks I’ll be doing this week and next. It illustrates the relationship of birds to dinosaurs.

I’m pretty pleased with this little figure. The colors are fun. The most difficult part, in truth, was getting all the citations correct. And giving credit where credit is due – now there’s a whole ‘nuther kind of art.
