Better Late Than Never?

National Blog Posting Month – January 2014 – Pressure

Prompt – What puts more pressure on you: time constraints or achieving perfection?

——

Is it better to be on time with an imperfect product, or late with a perfect product?

Of these two things, I know that being on time and meeting deadlines is far more important to me that achieving perfection. It’s not easy to accept that what I’m submitting as a final product is far less than perfect, but I know that perfection is basically impossible to achieve.

The down side is that since I’ve accepted that perfection is impossible, I often quit trying to improve things well before any deadlines on the assumption that I can’t really improve on what I’ve already done.

At least nothing is ever late. Well, not very often, anyway.
