Wordless Wednesday Writing Challenge – Blocking the Pump

The RocNaNo Blog now offers Wordless Wednesday writing prompts. This is my response to today’s challenge, based upon this photo:

I decided to keep the story to 100 words, just because. Here you go:

Blocking the Pump

The cargo needed to get there on time. All too often, there was a delay. Problems. And people were suffering because of it. It was happening again.

We had another five hours of driving to go. Almost there. The truck was low on fuel, but we were in luck, or so we thought. There was a station just ahead, and we stopped to fuel up.

Only that we couldn’t. We pulled in and tried to the pump some gas. It was a clever deception. No fuel. Only thieves, and their forklift, ready to take the goods from those in need.
