Mildred S. Dresselhaus (1930 – ) has been called “The Queen of Carbon Science.”

Dr. Dresselhaus’ career focused on carbon chemistry, including graphite, fullerines, and carbon nanotubules.

She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2014.
