Phase one in our plot for world domination is complete.
Behind our home, for as long as we have lived here, there have sat nearly 60 acres of land going fallow. We’ve shrugged. It’s good for hunting, we supposed. Maybe someone could grow some crops there.
Then we started raising chickens. And we’ve become steadily more energetic about it. At the moment, we’re at 46 chickens. We’ve learned in incubate and hatch them. Then we interested in preserving ‘heritage’ breeds – older breeds that supported humanity prior to modern breeding for fast growth and quick slaughter.

But we didn’t have room for that, not on our little two acres.
The land behind us has been for sale for a long time, and recently the owner dropped the price significantly.
We thought about it – but not too long. We jumped in.
Today, our offer was accepted.
This afternoon, we went for a walk. It’s December, so there isn’t a whole lot to see, but we can get a good sense of the structure of the area.

Stay tuned. A new website and blog are coming. It won’t be rapid progress. Our plans will take several years to realize. Of course, first we need to have plans…
There’s no rush.
