We finished where we started. Today, my team and I measured section.
Thankfully, we only needed to measure about 30 meters of section, not 300 like we measured earlier this summer.
Those thirty meters bracket the contact between the Uinta Formation and the overlying Duchesne River Formation.
We want to characterize that transition. Something happened that changed the depositional environment. What was it?
Was it global climate change? Was it the uplift of mountains? Aliens, maybe?
That’s what we’re hoping to find out.
