“Y” is for the Yunon Camera.

The Yunon camera is a give-away camera in the early 1980’s.

The Yunon camera tries really hard to look like a legit, high-end 35mm camera. But when you take off the lens cap, it’s obvious that it’s a tiny, cheap lens in a cheap camera.
