Favorite Songs – Old Skool

The Kickin’ it Old Skool Blog-a-Thon has me working today to come up with a list of my favorite songs.

Oh boy.

So, what are my favorite songs? What songs do I never skip on my iPod? I have a playlist of nearly 200 songs, many of which I’d call ‘favorite.’ I can’t list them all.

A recent favorite is Chasing Cars, by Snow Patrol.

I never skip that one, and it often makes me a bit weepy. (In fact, it just did. *sigh*)

There are others, no doubt. But this one always hits me in the feels, as they say… So I think I’ll stop there.

How about you? What are your favorite songs?

Here is mine. I cry every time I listen to this. I know it is super sappy and cliche, but I think it makes me just think of Marly and Boe and makes me realize what a huge responsibility parenting is and how I just want to be able to protect them from everything.

I didn’t really have any “modern” music on my list, mostly because although I like a lot of newer songs and artists, the names of the songs never stick with me. This is one of those songs that I like and I would have never guessed the name or the artist so thanks for sharing the link!

Chasing Cars … yes. it was a lifeline, more like a fragile string, that held my husband and I together back in 2006/2007 when we were fighting for our marriage.

All this time later and we are still together. Celebrated 28 years this year.
