Mystery Monday – Black, with Zipper

I have this object. Can you identify it?

It's big. It's black. It says 'Motorola'.

Written on the front is the word Motorola. What things do we see that say that these days?

It’s pretty heavy. I could probably bludgeon someone to death with it.

This was in one of our closets, next to an old record player. What do you think might be inside? Maybe you once had one?

    Tape recorder? I mostly just know Motorola for their radios (back in park ranger days).

    Just lugged a few boxes out of storage (to slowly empty that $$ pit), & 1 had tons o cassette tapes. =) Recycled the paper therein, & CHUCKED the rest.
