Two times in the last week I’ve found myself in a position of offering to do computerized artwork for friends. This is something I’m always happy to do. I love doing art, I just don’t often have time any more.
Most people don’t think of me as an artist, though many who are near me know that I have made one or two t-shirt designs.
There was a time in my life when I would have described myself primarily as an artist (and a runner). This was back in high school. I’ve posted some of the things I painted back then here. When I graduated, I made the conscious decision to pursue science instead of art because I just couldn’t see how I could make it as an artist. I really had no interest in commercial art and couldn’t fathom selling any of my original artwork.
Since then, I’ve found various outlets for my desire to continue to make art. Making T-shirt designs is one of those. I also enjoy making all my own figures for professional publications. One of my favorite outlets is when I have to prepare posters for technical conferences.
I knew that these were valid outlets, but I never really have thought of them as a potential means of extra income. But maybe so. I do this for fun. It gives me pleasure. But if you’re someone who needs a quick drawing of something, maybe I can help.
Here are some examples of my work:

So, yeah. This is a bunch of examples of the type of work I can do. All of it was done on the computer. Maybe I can help you out some time.

I love your work! I wish I could do what you, and I love the evolutionary implausible take on some of the images!
