There’s been this bitty snow storm hammering the north eastern United States today. A little winter storm called “Nemo.”
I’m having a hard time taking a storm named “Nemo” very seriously. #fb

I raced home from work after teaching my morning class, hoping to miss the worst of the road conditions. I did.

Then it got bad.

I took a little walk to pick up the boy from day care up the street.

After we got home, one of the plows came by.

And because the plow blocked the driveway with snow, I went ahead and cleared the whole thing. By then we had seven fresh inches of snow. In 4.5 hours. That’s rapid snowfall.

We’ll see what tomorrow has to bring.

Stay safe. Thanks for sharing the photos.

This thing of naming winter storms is The Weather Channel’s idea. I suspect it’s to sell T-shirts.
I drove home from Rochester about 5:00 PM and travel wasn’t bad at all. Traffic was light, so I suspect a lot of people went home early. I was able to get into my driveway so I didn’t bother clearing it. I’ll clean it out some time Saturday.
I may complain about the Rochester area, but I’m happy to say I’d much rather drive in the snow here than in Ohio. People in Columbus are absolute idiots when it snows.
